Quality Residential

Over 4 decades of delivery means our experienced teams understand the risks and opportunities associated with residential delivery. We engage our multi-disciplined team early to ensure our design, buildability and material selection knowledge can make an impact. From pre-construction through to post-completion, we maintain consistent high standards, accountability and service, working with project partners who uphold those same high standards.

At RCC, we love what we do and it’s important to us that we continue to deliver buildings that our clients and owners are as proud of as we are. But don’t take it from us, hear from those who know best, our clients.

We recently interviewed Will Peters, a Project Manager from Greenland Australia, about their experience working with RCC to deliver their latest residential development. Park Sydney Stage 1 in Erskineville is Greenland Australia’s third development with RCC. Having demonstrated our proven approach to quality assurance, attention to detail and superior results, RCC was selected to partner with Greenland on this first stage of the City of Sydney’s largest urban renewal project, which involved the delivery of 330 units and a retail precinct.

“Greenland has built close to 2000 units in Australia now and hands down Park Sydney is the highest quality we have seen. We think RCC is one of the best residential builders in NSW and they just continue to improve and excel at what they do.”

Project Manager, Greenland Australia

Our Managing Director, Jamie Crookes, and the founder of our business, Richard Crookes, are Carpenters. We are a business built on the foundations of trade craftsmanship, and this respect for delivering quality drives the way we deliver buildings. Now in our 45th year, RCC has a legacy of quality projects to protect as one of Australia’s most experienced residential builders.

In the last 5 years alone, RCC has completed 41 residential projects, handing over close to 5,500 apartments. Maintaining high standards and a focus on service from design through to post-completion, we value our long term relationships with industry partners who mirror this approach to quality, safety and delivery certainty. We are proud to exceed our clients expectations and to continue working with authorities, our partners and our peers to align the entire industry with best practice standards.

Meet Jack – He Loves His Job

In celebration of being awarded the 10th Best Place to Work in Australia by Great Place to Work, RCC has interviewed 10 employees who love their job. We’re honoured to have such passionate employees who jumped at the opportunity to share what they do, and why they love it.

Meet Jack Reggers. Jack joined RCC in his final years of his engineering degree. Starting in a Graduate role that allowed him to study and gain practical experience in the industry, Jack is now a Site Engineer on our Opera Residences project, delivering one of Sydney’s most exclusive future residential developments.

“I love my job and I love what I do, but I think 90% of that is because I come to work with brilliant people every day.”

“At RCC, you actually feel like someone. From the Project Manager right through to the cadets, you can feel that everyone truly values each other and the company we work for.”

With a family of more than 700 employees, we are committed to ensuring our teams feel familiar and well connected. On a site with over 100 individuals, Jack says the RCC team’s culture and mateship creates an environment which keeps them on track; delivering high quality projects whilst genuinely enjoying the process along the way.

“We have meetings with our clients, subcontractors, consultants and architects and everybody sits in the same room to listen and collaborate. Everyone is talking and working together to get the job done.”

“It’s one collaborative project team pushing in the right direction.”

Jack loves his job for its challenges, and for the colleagues he says have become his family. Nominated the 10th Best Place to Work in our category in Australia, we’re thrilled to employ passionate people that genuinely enjoy what they do and provide them with a supportive environment and positive company culture to thrive in.

More About the 10th Best Place to Work

The Great Place to Work assessment is a feedback-based study obtained from a confidential survey of our 700+ employees. It involves an independent audit across areas like hiring and integration, health and wellness, as well as workplace culture.

2018 was the first year RCC entered the assessment and we were thrilled to be awarded 17th Best Place to Work. To be recognised as the 10th Best Place to Work this year is a credit to our continued commitment to ensuring that everyone at RCC genuinely looks forward to coming to work each day.

RCC’s Second Tower Crane in Circular Quay

Opera Residences Project Reaches a Milestone

The Opera Residences team are celebrating a major milestone with the erection of the project’s tower crane.

Following 6 months of bulk and detailed excavation down to 18 metres below sea level and the commencement of sub-structure works, the team erected RCC’s 2nd tower crane in the Circular Quay skyline.

Our name is also up in lights on the nearby Loftus Lane project, part of AMP capital’s exciting Quay Quarter development.

The Opera Residences 400tn mobile crane has been set up no less than 30 metres from the iconic Sydney Harbour, making an exciting sight for Circular Quay onlookers. Its initial free-standing height of 43 metres, making it easily visible from around the quay as well as from the Cahill Expressway.

The crane driver on the Opera Residences project will have the best seat in the house with these views of Sydney Harbour!

Soil Turned on Park Sydney

The first soil has been turned on one of Sydney’s largest urban renewal projects, Park Sydney, marking the beginning of another journey with Greenland Australia!

Having previously partnered with Greenland Australia to successfully deliver the Leichhardt Green and Lucent (North Sydney) residential projects, RCC is thrilled to work with Greenland again on the Park Sydney project in Erskineville. This will no doubt be a significant landmark for Sydney’s inner West and we look forward to transforming this former industrial site into a vibrant residential community.

“Richards Crookes Constructions was the obvious choice… They’ve delivered an impressive portfolio of projects, including several of our own… We’ve been really impressed with their high level of detail and commitment to meeting construction deadlines on budget.”

Sherwood Luo – Managing Director
