Design and construction of a new GWA Innovation and Distribution Facility designed to be utilised as a distribution centre for Caroma Bathroom Products to accommodate both office and warehouse workers in the same location.

The new 30,000m2 warehouse consists of the following:

  • Laboratory with an R&D / NATA testing facilities; as well as Acoustic Treatment, Water Recycling and CNC machinery areas (1,695m2);
  • Battery recharge area;
  • Modernised main office;
  • Loading dock office;
  • Gate house;
  • Hardstand area (9,345m2); and
  • Staff/visitor carpark for 127 vehicles (3,457m2)

Calibre Building 4 is the third completed logistics facility in the Calibre industrial estate at Eastern Creek, a 21.8 hectare industrial development site located at the junction of Sydney’s M4 and M7 Motorways.

The Project consists of a redevelopment of an existing cotton seed processing plant including the construction of the following, which RCC is the principal contractor for;

  • 1 x 1,298ha Warehouse/Industrial Building;
  • 2,816m2 extension to existing Warehouse/Industrial Building:
  • Re-cladding of existing Warehouse Building;
  • 1 x 916m2 Administration Building;
  • 1 x 815m2 Laboratory Building;
  • Associated Outbuildings, Driveways, Parking Areas, Site Filling and Augmentation of existing Earthen Levee Bank;
  • Demolition of existing Administration Building to create an overflow carpark;
  • Solar Panel integration.

The buildings are to be constructed from steel and masonry. The steel structure is a portal frame which is cladded which is a sandwich panelling material.
