RCC has been awarded the design and construction (including integrated fit-out) of the Lang Walker Medical Research Building located within the Campbelltown Hospital Precinct. The four storey specialist facility is set to become a dynamic hub for researchers investigating the Macarthur region’s most pressing health conditions including Diabetes/ Obesity, Mental Health, Paediatrics and Adolescents, Indigenous Health and Addiction Medicine.

The project is being delivered with key stakeholder partners including Western Sydney University, Health Infrastructure, South Western Sydney Local Health District, Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research, Walker Corporation and the University of New South Wales.

Key features include:
• Works within a live operational hospital campus
• All consultation, treatment and interview rooms boast a connection to the outside with many featuring expansive views across Marsden Park.
• Kiosk with retail facilities
• Bridge connections to adjacent buildings
• Naturally ventilated shared collaboration and circulation zone
• Multiple terraces and outdoor spaces
• Demolition of existing at-grade helicopter pad
• Site preparation and civil works.
