Design, construction and commissioning of 149 beds (137 rooms) over 5 stories, with associated demolition works, tree removal, car parking, landscaping and signage. The project will provide significant resources for aged care within the Blacktown area.
The design for the RACF had been based on the following fundamental facility requirements:
- Ability to cater for high care residents, (with one dedicated dementia wing of up to 17 beds located on the Ground Floor)
- Whole of life facility to be future-proofed to cater for the emerging high care market
- Inclusion of domestic and non-institutional character, which is not standard for for high care residents, which reflects the current aged care trend of aging in place.
