First concrete pour at Cowra Hospital Redevelopment complete

Major milestone completion.

In collaboration with Health Infrastructure and the Western NSW Local Health District, we’ve completed the first concrete pour for the Cowra Hospital Redevelopment.

This pour forms the foundation for the ground floor of the new building, which will include the hospital’s main entry and front-of-house. Once complete, the new healthcare development will provide a modern and purpose-built facility for the Cowra Shire including:

  • An emergency department
    • A general medical and surgery inpatient ward
    •    A peri-operative service
    •    A maternity unit with a dedicated nursery
    •    Ambulatory care
    •    A dental clinic
    •    Renal dialysis
    •    Oncology
    •    Community Health and Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol services
    •    The hospital’s first CT Scanner

Muswellbrook Hospital Stage 3 Redevelopment

In partnership with Health Infrastructure and the Hunter New England Health District, we’ll deliver the state-of-the-art facility comprising a new operating theatre suite, community health spaces and central sterilising department.

With over 70 health projects completed in the past 33 years, we continue to build vital health infrastructure that meets the needs of patients and the community well into the future.

UTS x RCC Merit Scholarship for Women Recipients 2024 

Congratulations Carys and Perpetua! 

Congratulations to Carys Fitzgerald and Perpetua Thabet – recipients of the University of Technology Sydney and Richard Crookes Constructions Merit Scholarship for Women. 

They now join one of the largest cadet programs in Australia– the RCC Cadet Program. Over a two-year structured program, Carys and Perpetua will work with industry leaders and gain industry experience that complements their university commitments and accelerates their careers.   

Overview  

The Richard Crookes Constructions Merit Scholarship for Women has been established to recognise the academic excellence of female students in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) and/or the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building (DAB).  

We’re committed to education, talent development and fostering diversity in our workforce. This commitment extends to advancing the industry and shaping the future through education and training. This scholarship enables us to bolster and develop the pipeline of future female industry leaders.

Our Award winners recently came together to celebrate, with a private helicopter ride over Sydney. They spotted some of our iconic projects from above, including the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct.

Celebrating Science Week

Celebrating Science Week with Centenary Institute’s talented panelists of researchers Dr Felix Marsh-Wakefield, Dr Ka Ka Ting, Dr Dean Campelj and Serena Li, moderated by Rae Johnston and hosted by Marc Pellegrini, Executive Director at Centenary Institiute.  

Finding solutions to complex health challenges requires the right environment – we’re grateful to have delivered state-of-the-art research and health facilities that support the unique needs of the research community and contribute to better global health outcomes. 

Winners – Kurraba Residences and Goulburn Police Academy 

Celebrating wins across our Residential and Defence divisions 

Kurraba Residences has won Best Medium Density Development at the Urban Developer Awards, and Goulburn Police Academy at Master Builders Association’s Southern Regions Excellence in Building Awards.  

In partnership with Thirdi, RCC delivered this luxury development on Sydney Harbour. Designed by SJB Architects, Dangar Barin Smith and Mathieson Architects, Kurraba’s 24 luxurious apartments were delivered to enjoy our client’s satisfaction: “We work very hard in the industry to deliver the absolute best. Staff and students are enjoying residency at the Goulburn Police Academy. Designed by Hayball Architects, the upgraded facility responds to NSW Police’s evolving working and living condition requirements – future-proofing their capacity to train the highest calibre of recruits. 500 Women in Property program launch  

Property Council of Australia’s 2024 initiative commences! 

Eight talented RCC women attended Property Council of Australia’s 500 Women in Property program launch.  

Mia Fine, Kristine Upton, Lana Green, and Kayla Wehbe were joined by their respective sponsors Samantha Kuiper, Kate Hannaford, Jen Tyler and Cassie Withers. We look forward to Lily Beckhurst joining us at the next event along with sponsor Elliot Hicks. 

This initiative aims to propel women into leadership roles within the property industry through sponsorship of high-potential talent. We wish them every success in the program, together with Elliot Hicks, Lily Beckhurst and the rest of the 2024 cohort.
