This redevelopment delivered 55 prefabricated modules in two stages, including 19 flexible learning spaces, administration facilities, hall and outdoor learning area. Rapid population growth saw Stage 2 bought forward three years and delivered in a constrained 9-month program and a live learning environment.
Stage 1 utilised volumetric DfMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) consisting of completed modules and landscaping transported from Victoria and assembled onsite.
Drawing from this experience, an innovative ‘kit of parts’ strategy was devised to meet the constrained Stage 2 program.
This ensured Stage 2 was completed and handed over in time for Day 1, Term 1 2023.
The robust sustainability framework included sun control measures, rainwater tanks and composting facilities, and extensive value engineering to increase soft landscaping areas.
