Digital design redefining sustainable education

This 6,258sqm multi-purpose learning development brings together the Vicars Centenary Building, Murray Rose Aquatic and Fitness Centre (including three lap pools and 350-spectator grandstand) and new Hordern Oval with historic terraces.

Specialist in-house digital design expertise provided certainty of design constructability and outcomes, `and supported program milestones. This included DfMA to deliver the innovative cross-laminated timber design in the chapel and BIM to thoroughly model the structural steel interface before procurement. Circular economy principles were also applied to achieve net zero outcomes.

Delivered adjacent to an operational school, safety was closely managed through monthly stakeholder meetings, hoarding installations and a dedicated communications channel.
