A purpose-built mental health hospital designed to improve patient outcomes through the enhanced delivery of psychiatric care.

Delivered in an operational environment, this redevelopment includes a neurostimulation suite, 112 private rooms and clinical support spaces. The adjacent Wellness Centre includes a multi-purpose gym, treatment rooms and a large indoor swimming pool.

Restoration works revitalised the existing 18th century mansion Belmont House. The sensitive nature of working with heritage structure called for a highly collaborative approach between stakeholders.

Safe, uninterrupted access was achieved, with hospital staff decanting in stages to newly refurbished areas to ensure continuity of operations. A detailed traffic control plan was implemented, ensuring emergency vehicle access at all times.
