Designed as a gateway building for future officers of the ADF, the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) integrates academic and educational services for University of New South Wales undergraduates.
The future-proofed facility features a 1,200-seat auditorium, indoor sports centre, battle physical training amenities and live-in accommodation. Strategic value management options generated over $25 million in cost savings re-allocated towards building upgrades.
Meticulous stakeholder management ensured the continuity of ten work sites in a live defence environment, with constant communication with Army, Navy and Airforce personnel critical to success.
“I found all RCC staff to be highly professional throughout the entire delivery of the project. Key to their success was an ability to work within the time constraints imposed in an operational site, their cooperative relationship with other contractors onsite and a genuine desire to deliver a quality product.. The fact that the project was delivered ahead of time and within budget attests to the success of the project.”
