Harnessing the power of automated and sustainable distribution

Australia’s largest single Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) investment, this project transformed Suntory’s greenfield site into a fully automated manufacturing and distribution facility. Designed for efficiency and growth, the 17-hectare industrial development provides processing, packaging, warehousing and distribution facilities to support growing consumer needs.

Using groundbreaking technology, the purpose-built 15.8m tall high-bay operates an Automated Storage Retrieval System and can produce over 80,000 cans per hour or 20 million cases annually.

Implementing a robust sustainability framework, the facility achieves carbon-neutrality supported by 7,000 solar panels spanning 14 kilometres, biomass boiler and green energy producing 6.5MW of power, which is re-invested into the facility.

The project also supported the local economy and created more than 2,900 local jobs.

“The value of attracting this investment to Queensland will have significant benefits for our economic recovery and most importantly, it will create new jobs for Queenslanders."
