The new 4-Star Green Star Armidale Secondary College, delivered by merging Duval and Armidale High Schools, accommodates 1,580 students.
Heritage restoration transformed a 100-year-old Armidale High School building into a 1000-seat multi-purpose hall. This redevelopment delivered 79 new learning spaces, a sports court and administration facilities.
Delivered in an operational school environment, meticulous planning and stakeholder engagement ensured student and staff safety and facilitated the temporary relocation of Armidale High School students to the Duval campus during the 2019-20 school terms. The new Armidale Secondary College opened in 2021.
